Unicoi Systems Announces Availability of Fusion IPsec

Embedded IPsec is First Step in Major Security Initiative

ATLANTA, GEORGIA – January 16, 20043 – Unicoi Systems, Inc. (formerly DSP OS, Inc.), a leading provider of software solutions to the embedded device market, today announced that Fusion IPsec is now available for release with its award winning Fusion embedded TCP/IP stack.

The growing presence of embedded systems attached to the Internet coincides with an explosion of malicious and destructive threats to those systems. To address these new threats, Unicoi has developed Fusion IPsec that will allow new and existing Fusion customers to secure their systems against these threats.

The Fusion IPsec source code was designed to be an integral part of the Fusion TCP/IP stack. By integrating IPsec into the Fusion TCP/IP stack, Fusion IPsec avoids the unnecessary additional processing that a “Bump-In-The-Stack” (BITS) implementations suffer. Fusion IPsec was designed in a clean-room environment and supports various encryption algorithms including DES, 3DES, AES and Blowfish (RFC 2451). Fusion IPsec supports the MD5 and SHA-1 hash/authentication algorithms. Fusion IPsec also supports dynamic configuration of Security Associations through an optional Internet Key Exchange (IKE) interface.
