The Fusion
POP3 mail product is the Post Office Protocol
Version 3 (POP3) as specified in RFC 1939. Security
is supported via Fusion Net's MD5 (RFC 1321) capabilities.
The Fusion POP3 client source code product allows embedded
devices to receive e-mail from any POP3 server. This
allows any embedded device to asynchronously receive
information from a user or automatically from a server.
Adding Fusion Embedded POP3 source code to an embedded
device adds a very simple to use communication capability.
A remote Audio entertainment device is an excellent
example. A user can create a song play list and send
it to the device via POP3 for playback.
While controlling a single embedded device is best through
the use of an embedded webserver, this is not practical
for multiple embedded devices. Using Fusion POP3 a user
may easily send updated configuration parameters or
instructions to a remote embedded device.
The Fusion Embedded POP3 source code solution may receive
messages in pure text, HTML or even XML. The Fusion
Embedded POP3 software also supports attachments, multiple
addresses, carbon copy address and blind copy. It has
a powerful and easy to use command API.
