Fusion Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) source code is designed for serial links and provides a method for transmitting Datagrams over serial point-to-point links. Fusion PPP is comprised of three main components:

The power of Fusion PPP is provided by the PPP encapsulation scheme, together with the PPP Link Control Protocol (LCP), an extensible option negotiation protocol that is able to negotiate a rich assortment of configuration parameters and provides additional management functions.
