Based on a single-core processor, the reference design offers a robust set of features and functionality, including Unicoi’s proven voice Quality of Service that prioritizes voice traffic over data traffic. The VoIP Terminal Adapter reference design includes highly optimized, fully-integrated software that minimizes CPU use, saving critical processing power for additional ports or differentiating features, while reducing the bill of materials (BOM) cost as well as the time and complexity typically associated with developing a VoIP terminal adapter.
