Unicoi Systems Announces Availability of Fusion 7.0

The latest release of the world’s most popular embedded TCP/IP stack is now shipping

ATLANTA, GEORGIA – November 13, 2003 – Unicoi Systems, Inc. (formerly DSP OS, Inc.), a leading provider of software solutions to the embedded device market, today announced that the latest enhancements to the Fusion embedded TCP/IP stack are now available to both new and existing customers.

The Fusion TCP/IP stack is the most widely deployed embedded TCP/IP stack in the world. With its history of over 20 years and deployment in millions of real-time devices, Fusion has proven itself in embedded development projects time and time again. Unicoi also provides a full suite of Internet Applications and modular supporting protocols for Fusion.

Performance optimizations in the Fusion 7.0 release provide up to 15% throughput improvement over the previous 6.x release. Additional IETF RFC compliance for high performance networks (Scaleable TCP windows, Selective Acknowledgement, Round-Trip Time Measurement and detection of wrapped windows) make Fusion an ideal choice for Satellite Communications projects.

Other new features in Fusion 7.0 include Scatter-Gather support for Device Drivers, a Zero Copy TCP socket interface, full support for multi-homing, multi-point Unicast sockets, Auto Configuration of link-local addresses and Address Collision Detection. Fusion 7.0 is supplied in source code and is available immediately.
