Unicoi Systems Enhances Software Line with Release of Fusion® SOAP v2.5

New Fusion SOAP and WSDL Compiler Releases Fortify Unicoi’s Web Services Framework

ATLANTA, GEORGIA – February 20, 2007 – Unicoi Systems, a leading provider of VoIP and multimedia software and reference designs, today announced the availability of its Fusion® Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) version 2.5 software designed especially for embedded devices.  Fusion SOAP is part of Unicoi’s family of interoperable web services for embedded systems. 

Designed to support communications between applications without human intervention, web services enable applications at diverse network locations to function as if they were part of a single software system.  Examples of applications supported by web services include restaurant review services, real-time weather advisories, and mobile device access to stock trading and order tracking systems.  

The Fusion SOAP Client & Server provides a low-level C language application program interface (API) for performing client and server SOAP communications.  SOAP provides a Remote Procedure Call (RPC) capability using XML encoding which allows greater platform independence and interoperability with enterprise networks.  The Fusion SOAP release is complemented by a recent update to the Fusion WSDL Compiler.
