At Unicoi Systems, we have been involved with automotive and airborne infotainment systems, from a software perspective, for several years. As a result, we have more recently committed to harnessing our hardware and software capabilities to deliver the first of what will become a series of IP media entertainment hardware/software reference designs and multimedia frameworks, based on popular OS and CPU configurations.
Turnkey Hardware/Software Infotainment Reference Design
In 2007, our first IP media reference design was used to demonstrate an automobile infotainment prototype at the Detroit Auto Show, in cooperation with Panasonic. A year later, we were invited to display our infotainment solution to developers in the automotive entertainment feature at NVIDIA's NVISION 08.
Unicoi's team of hardware and software engineers empower infotainment device manufacturers with superior engineering services and a turnkey solution, proven to reduce development time by 30%. By leveraging Unicoi's experience in building an on-board entertainment solution, much of the initial development work is complete and developers need only select the differentiating features they'd like to add to jumpstart their infotainment project. For projects requiring more customization in early development, our multimedia framework is available to start niche projects. However, in most cases, our turnkey hardware/software platform can get a project up and moving in record time with lower than expected costs.

Owning our own IP also allows us to maintain intricate partnerships with silicon vendors and other hardware manufacturers, further delivering value to development teams and procurement offices.
