The Fusion NAND Driver is a small footprint, highly reliable device driver. It is targeted towards embedded applications where NAND Flash is used for the file storage media. It provides a layered driver architecture using a simple programming interface for portability and customization to NAND device specific technologies. The Fusion NAND Driver provides a flash translation layer for use with standard block interface file systems and device managers.
The Fusion NAND Driver consists of a proper Media Driver as managed by the Fusion Device Manager. This component allows the stand-alone operation of the Media Driver with a user provided file system such as the Fusion File System. The Media Driver gives users a physical view of the hardware.
